Preserving History

About the Fort Bend History Association

The Fort Bend History Association is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Fort Bend County. Founded in 1967 as the Fort Bend County Museum Association, our organization has spent over six decades committed to education, preservation, and community engagement.

Our mission is to support educational endeavors and maintain a place where historical, patriotic, civic, educational collections can be housed. We aim to increase and diffuse knowledge and appreciation of history and art. We also preserve objects with historic, artistic, and offer popular instruction and opportunities for education and aesthetic enjoyment.
