The Fort Bend Museum is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Please check our website for information regarding holidays and other closures.
Yes, the prices are listed below.
• Adults (ages 13-64): $12
• Seniors (ages 65+): $10
• Children (ages 4-12): $8
• Members, Fort Bend History Association: FREE
• Children (ages 3 & Under): FREE
• U.S. Military, Active-Duty & Veterans: FREE
• Up to 5 family members accompanying a U.S. Military Service Member: 1⁄2 OFF
Yes there is lots of street parking available around the museum and it is all free.
Yes! Please do not use flash photography.
Water bottles are allowed in the museum but there is no food or other drinks in the gallery and historic homes.
Yes! You can bring lunch and enjoy the museum grounds!
Tours of the Moore Home and Long-Smith Cottage take about an hour.
The Fort Bend Museum gallery is handicap accessible and the first floors of the Long-Smith Cottage and the Moore Home are wheelchair accessible. However, some of the thresholds and doorways in the historic homes are narrow.

The Fort Bend History Association was founded in 1967 as the Fort Bend County Museum Association. Mamie George donated the first $25,000 to fund the initial survey committee.
